Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for preparing and administering manufacturing engineering project plans, creating manufacturing methods and preparing detailed, accurate Manufacturing Document Packages (MDPs) for new products, understanding product specifications and preparing work instructions for the MDPs, determining machine capacity and availability, creating and supporting Total Productive Maintenance Plans, application of SMED, coordinating and assisting in facilities planning, and assisting in quoting new work opportunities.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications: - BSc in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or MET/CET
- 3-5 years related experience in metal machining and manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge and understanding of metal machining and manufacturing processes, tooling and cutters and CNC machining practices
- Understanding of fixture design concepts and specifications, and CMM methods
- Experienced in Unigraphics NX-4/6 (Modeling, drafting and CAD/CAM programming)
- Knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Experience with configuration change management, process improvement, and Lean Manufacturing tools and methodology
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, team and project management skills
- Must be proficient with MS Office products
- Experience with Catia and Vericut is an asset
