RESPONSIBILITIES This is a challenging opportunity for an energetic individual with sound business acumen to expand the capabilities of our machine shop and lead a small team. Based at our Red Deer facility, the successful candidate will be responsible for: • Reviewing engineering designs and providing expertise to the engineering function to optimize design effectiveness. • Planning, scheduling and tracking jobs to maximize efficiency. • Working with the Production Manager to ensure that customer requirements are satisfied. • Liaising with Production to establish manufacturing goals, increase productivity and improve processes • Leading, motivating, managing and mentoring a team of machinists. • Ensuring high standards of safety and quality control.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: To be successful for this position, you should be able to demonstrate: • Minimum 3 years’ management/supervisory experience (management certificate preferred) • Journeyman status with a strong background of CNC and manual machining (boring, milling, turning etc) • Experience in an engineering manufacturing environment • Experience of oilfield services equipment (knowledge of wireline logging equipment a definite asset). • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Commercial astuteness. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
