Job Summary 

Reporting to the Engineering manager, the manufacturing engineer will be responsible for providing Engineering and Technical Support to Production, Purchasing, R&D and EMS Suppliers for an assigned group of products.​

Job Requirements:

Requirements

 • Provide support on  process and product-related issues at the suppliers site or in-house • Work with engineering teams to solve technical problems related to production, process, Quality and functionality of the product • Ensure that manufacturing documentation and drawings are clear and accurate to ensure controlled and repeatable manufacture of products; transferring documents to contract manufacturer(s) • Coordinate and implement ECO’s in a timely and economical fashion • Coordinate and lead technical aspect of product transfers to and between EMS partners; and lead technical and manufacturing engineering aspects of new product launches and prototype proof of builds • Perform DFM/​DFF/​DFA reviews on new products

 

Qualifications

 • Graduate diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle and Agile will be an asset)  (2+​ years) • Progressive experience in Operations (8+​ years) with mandatory Electronics Manufacturing experience (2+​ years) • Possess Lead free soldering knowledge and PCBA process /​ manufacturing engineering experience (2+​ years) • Led or managed a team of engineers (2+​ years) • DFx experience (1 year) • New product introduction and product life cycle management (2+​ years)

 • Solid engineering background with significant accomplishments in new technology development and project management • Well-developed project management, and decision-making skills • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and must have a track record of solving complex problems • Strong communication and leadership skills
