The Lean Project Engineer is responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and driving improvement projects within the manufacturing site as per our global directives. You will lead multiple process improvements teams towards Lean Six Sigma to result in defect reduction, cost avoidance, loss reduction or revenue enhancement, supporting the local management. These improvement projects will increase and improve the effectiveness of the entire supply chain and enable our company to meet its current and future business requirements and goals. This position has significant leadership impact on the success of the Lean Six Sigma program by providing technical direction and training opportunities for our associates.
Responsibilities :
- Identify and prioritize preventive and corrective action improvement opportunities.
- Lead and facilitate Lean/Six Sigma projects to achieve Quality, Productivity and Safety improvement.
- Primary responsibility for successful implementation of identified and approved projects using Lean/Six Sigma methodology and tools e.g. DMAIC, FMEA, Poka Yoke etc.
- Facilitate quality and change management processes; identify customer needs and key drivers to reach customer satisfaction goals with financial benefit.
- Develop program and structure to integrate Lean concepts into Colorcon culture.
- Provides and coordinates training and development in Lean concepts at various levels within organization. Develops technical skills and awareness through the organization.
- Prepares Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as part of the project implementation.
- Collaborate with other regional Lean subject matter experts (SMEs) within the company and local organizations.
- Collaborate with Quality leadership to facilitate programs for Quality Risk Reduction and Management.
Scope :
Position reports to the Operations Director, AP directly, with a dotted-line to the Operations Manager. The incumbent will work closely with local Management team to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
